A large painting of a fossil seller the artist met whilst hiking in the Atlas Mountains in April. His clothes camouflaged him into the dappled light beneath the olive tree, creating unusual abstract shapes on the ground. The canopy of the tree and the shadows on the floor compressed him into the space, whilst his posture created a relaxed tension between the two.
A limited colour palette was used to help reflect the feeling of heat and the orange tones of both the red earth and terracotta products on sale.
